I'm always up for some lace-based insanity!

So I joined a Mystery Shawl Knit-along that starts tomorrow! You get a "clue" every week but have no idea what the finished lace will look like! Pretty exciting for us fiber addicts/lace knitting fools....

I did the test swatch this morning and took some piccies while it was being blocked:

And a close up:

My test swatch was knitted with Knit Pick's "Shadow" merino lace weight yarn, in the "Campfire Heather" colour. I used size 5 (3.75 mm) needles, and I am very pleased with the result - can't wait to get started tomorrow!

If you are a knitter, a lace fan, or just up for a new challenger, why not join the Mystery Stole Knit Along? Just click on the button to the right - knit on!

It does look great!

How wide did it end up measuring? I should have my yarn tomorrow (I am using the same kind so I have not been able to swatch just yet...)

It ended up blocking to about 6.5", but it was blocked rather severely :-)
