It's my birthday and I'll knit if I want to!

And I got sock yarn! YAY!!!! Thank you, Daniel! And because having 4 projects already going isn't nearly enough, I plan to start two new socks with my new yarn!

The first will be Broadripple Socks, with the Patons "Kroy Socks", color "Winter Eclipse"

The second will be Bell Lace Wool-Ease Socks, with my Pepto-Bismol pink Wool-Ease! (The "official" name is "Azalea Pink")

I also have to round shawl on the needles! The first in the "Easy Peasy" round shawl, by MMario at Men Who Knit. Here's a photo:

And another:

Yes, that's my arm - am I the pastiest white chick you've ever seen, or what?

And the other shawl I just started is the "Queen Anne's Lace Shawl", also by MMario. Here's a pic:

I am having a GREAT birthday, and it's only 9 AM! Dan woke me up with a flaming donut and hazelnut coffee - Mmmmmmm, hazelnut.....And my son in law called from Korea, actually beating my daughter for first "Happy Birthday" call - hopefully, she'll forgive him!

Then I got a slew of birthday ecards, and spent an hour posting pics and projects on my Ravelry notebook, and posting this blog - now its off to KNIT ALL DAY!! SQUEEEEEE!

Happy Birthday! Knitting and coffee sounds like the ideal way to spend the day.

P.S. if you want to see another picture of the kitty twins, I've posted a picture of my Keepsake Shawl with the 'inspectors' on it.

Absolutely gorgeous shawl! The kitties still amaze me with their "mirror image" of my two! Now which set is the other's evil twins, I wonder?

P.S. Where is that shawl pattern from?
